OFF THE FLOOR is returning to Indianapolis with a screening at Butler ArtsFest 2015 as part of their FILM+ Series! on Monday, April 13th. This year, Butler ArtsFest theme is “Outlaws and Outsiders” and the story of a young dancer struggling to bring her art into the mainstream is a perfect match. The evening will begin with a panel discussion with filmmakers Katie and Matthew Celia and Jessica Anderson-Gwin, the founder of contemporary pole dance company Jagged, about pole dance and its role in gender equality and women’s empowerment. The main event will feature a screening of the film and the debut performance of Jagged’s new full length narrative dance show, FLY. Special thanks to everyone who has made this special event possible, including Butler University, Heartland Film, and The Margot L. and Robert S. Eccles Fund, a fund of Central Indiana Community Foundation. Tickets for the panel discussion and film/dance show available at http://butlerartsfest.com/.
