Phil Furey has accomplished something with his film ‘Since: The Bombing of Pan Am Flight 103’ that all documentary filmmakers aspire to. He has taken a widely known historical event and humanized it, adding blood and sinew and personal context to a story that everyone thought they knew.”
—Phil Tuckett, Executive Director,
DocUtah International Film Festival
On December 21, 1988, 270 people were murdered when a terrorist bomb destroyed Pan Am Flight 103 over Lockerbie, Scotland. United in grief and anger, relatives of the victims weaponized the media and demanded answers for the crime. Decades later, they watched in horror as justice unraveled for a massive oil deal between BP and Libya’s maniacal dictator, Muammar Gaddafi. Since: The Bombing of Pan Am Flight 103 is a feature documentary that tells the story of some of these first victims of terrorism, who proved that ordinary people can accomplish extraordinary feats in the wake of politically-fueled mass murder.
‘Since: The Bombing of Pan Am Flight 103’ is riveting but crushing at the same time. A powerful portrayal of the emotional price of terrorism.”
